Town Hall
Pirna Town Hall houses the offices of the chief mayor and the city administration. Centrally located at the market square, it is the first port of call for all citizens. The staff of the citizens' advice bureau, which is located at the ground floor foyer and offers very convenient opening times, are always happy to assist you. Residents and those planning to move to Pirna can complete various different procedures and formalities here.
Civic Centre
The Civic Centre is located opposite the Town Hall at the Obermarkt (Am Markt 10). This complex of four buildings houses the offices of the mayor for building, urban development and education as well as other departments. The central entrance to all four buildings is at the main entrance door (Am Markt 10). Information boards with a colour coded way-finding system lead you to the different departments.
The Civic Centre complex is also home of the prestigious Volckamersaal (capacity of 30 seats), which can be hired for conferences and meetings. The ceiling in this room is the oldest known stucco ceiling of the city. It dates back to the time period between Renaissance and Baroque and was probably built during the reconstruction of the house in 1673. Between 1668 and 1703, Johann Christoph Volckamer (1624 – 1703) held the title of Mayor eleven times.
During the opening times of the city administration, you can see the city model of Pirna at the ground floor of House 3. The entrance is at the inner court yard of the building complex.
